The Rolex Learning Center, a well-known and recognized architecture
This building was designed by a Japanese architectural firm for the Federal Institute of Technology. This office, SANAA, is headed by Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa. They accepted the mission to realize the Rolex Learning Center. From innovation to education to human relations, this emblematic place reflects the values of EPFL.
Visitors, students, speakers can stroll along the curves or take a tour of this space on one of the “horizontal elevators”, specially designed to climb the slopes of the building. Located in the center of the EPFL campus, the building is essentially composed of a continuous structure, spread over an 88,000 m2 site.
Do you know the movie “Love is a Perfect Crime”? Released in 2014, the Rolex Learning Center served as the setting for this thriller.
